* Cork Harbour Cod – Is the winter over?
There is no doubt about it but we had a superb run of winter cod. All we needed was the weather to get at them!
The lead up to Christmas proved successful with a good stamp of fish hanging about the Harbour rock.
January saw us getting a few trips in. We had great fishing in February until there was a patch of broken weather around the second week of the month.
March proved difficult with only a couple of trips possible. On our last foray into the harbour we struggled to catch many cod in the harbour but we did manage a few fish outside.
Is the end of winter cod for the 2014/2015 season? Time will tell.
